This is a reasonable depiction of a typical all-sky imager, although we have recently replaced our Millstone Hill intensified camera with a bare CCD and now use an ethernet connection to monitor that system. We currently maintain all-sky imagers at Millstone Hill (Westford, MA), Arequipa (Peru), and El Leoncito (Argentina), and imaging spectrographs at Farmington (ME), Cornish (ME), and Block Island (RI).  Please do not ask us to build one for you too!
